In light of the tragic event of this week of September 2025, and the events unfolding right now around the world, a prophetic vision from many years ago came back to life for here and now, so I wanted to share it.
The Next Revival: A Question
Some twenty plus years ago, a group of pastors in OH asked me some questions about revival (it was about the time I had moved stateside from Argentina, during the high peak of the Revival that hit that nation), they wanted to know how it happened, and the main question I was asked was “How do you see the next revival, would it be local, nationwide, worldwide, how do you see it? How will it unfold?” I did not have the answer; while I could have answered with some ‘informed guess’, I honestly did not know how to answer.
God Had An Answer
But right there, out of the blue, I had an open vision, that was a prophetic response from God to the question of the next revival.
I that vision I saw an extended field, just a plain field, and what looked like tiny flames “sprouting” here and there, until there was a large number of those little flames as far as I could see in that field in my vision. Suddenly a wind -almost as if a cataclysmic wind- started to blow and those little, still flickering flames of fire, somehow joined one another, and as I said, suddenly, the whole field became one big fire that was impossible to quench!
That was God’s answer to the honest question those pastors had in their heart: Expecting revival, praying for revival, hungry for a move of God, and God responded with a glimpse of what is going to be.
What’s Next?
Not one place from which it will spread to another, as it happened in past revivals: We could point to some contemporary revivals, to links from Argentina to Toronto, to Sunderland, To Holy Trinity Brompton, to Brownsville and to how God used those places to spread the fire to other places. (By the way, I have written several pieces and preached in many places about the Argentine revival and let’s say, the dynamics of its spread. Contact me if you would like more information.)
In that prophetic vision-answer God showed us that the next revival -and I truly believe in my heart, it will be the last before the Lord Jesus comes- will start suddenly from the many thousands or even millions of places that have been in preparation -pockets of prayer, churches, even small churches with a longing for a move of God, ministers, teachers, worshippers, that have been lighting a small flame, and fanning it in the hopes that it will increase to cover the earth.
Why Resurfacing This Vision Today?
We are already all too familiar and saddened with the sudden death of our Brother in Christ Charlie Kirk, and while some might not agree with everything he said, one thing is undeniable: He was all out for Jesus Christ and the Gospel; he did not shun the public eye confessing Jesus Christ in his life, and debating with whomever wanted to engage, about the Gospel, righteousness, and the need to come back to God, both individually, as churches and as a nation. He took a stand for Jesus that nobody can deny. He declared the truth of the Gospel for all to hear. And -in all honest introspection- he took a stand in public, where not many were doing it.
Now, that said, when I was pondering about his life and the mission he was called to take on, that prophetic vision of so long ago, came back to life at high speed, together with the words of Charlie’s wide Erika “You don’t know what you have unleashed today” which resonates back to centuries ago, when Latimer and Ridley were burned at the stake: “We have lit a fire today that I trust will not be quenched”.
Flames All Over Today
This week has seen vigils, pronunciations, gatherings, in churches, in the public arena, in the market place, all over the world, taking a bold stand, in honor of Charlie Kirk, and what could be of more honor than Christians all over taking as bold a stand as he did?
This makes me think, could this be the moment when this tragic event will be used of God to fan those flames all around the field of the world, those perhaps very little flames -some even too little to be noticed by the many- that have been persistently kept alive in prayer and declaration, even against all odds, which are now to be fanned into the massive end times revival as it has been promised by the Lord once and again?
This is not -and should not be- speculation or informed analysis of the world-wide events related to this tragic death and the expectation of a move of God. It is not a moment for analysis, or points of views, but rather, it is the time to believe, to declare -to pray and declare- and to take a stand for Jesus: He is the truth; for righteousness: He is our righteousness, for peace: He is our peace.
Last but not least, it is not the time to take a stand for Charlie Kirk, but to take a stand for what he stood for: Jesus.
