One of the most amazing aspects of Christian life is the fact that Jesus is in us and we are in Jesus. In a very real sense that positions us in the Kingdom and at the same time the Kingdom is in us. Literally we are living in two places at the same time.

In Two Places At One Time

On foot or on horses? We find it hard to realize that every step we take, every challenge we face, every goal we reach, and even those times when we fail, are preparation for bigger things, greater blessings. Breakthroughs, whether in our personal lives or in church or in the nations, start in the "small beginnings". Never try to jump to the big experience without going through the small steps. God is preparing you for the biggest blessings as we learn to trust Him through it all.

On foot or on horses?

We need to go back to the beginning; to that sense of awe at the person of God, not just awe at His doings, His blessings, but to His person. "In awe of you" we sing. Life experience -good or bad- can obscure our sense of God's person, and leave our soul empty, knowing a lot about God, yet not experiencing His person.

Observer or Seeker?

Naaman wanted a miracle of healing, but not in the muddy waters of the Jordan River. By attempting to dictate the delivery method of these blessings, we often overlook the very gifts we are asking for. It is a powerful reminder that surrendering control can open doors that narrow-minded expectations have kept locked.

Why your own rules might be blocking your blessings.

The Bible is full of river stories and references to rivers, some unusual rivers, some from within, some flooding, some trickling, some crystal clean, some muddy. When it comes to the need to release ourselves into the river, which river is it? God told me to jump into the river, and I was ready, but then there was no river to jump in! Now what?

One thing that jumps up from Jesus last instructions on earth, is oftentimes overlooked: The commandment to remain in Jerusalem until they receive power from on high. The focus has always been on the "power" aspect of the command; however, let us focus today on the remain side of the equation: Obedience.

Where to Start?

It is a profound realization to accept that despite one's internal struggles and imperfections, there remains an unwavering source of unconditional love. This message highlights the transformative power of grace, suggesting that being a work in progress is not a barrier to worthiness but an invitation to trust.

You might feel like a mess, but you are deeply loved.

God says you are valuable. How can He say that and at the same time say our righteousness is a bundle of filthy rugs? Because God sees us from His vantage point of Eternity. He created you. and when you believed in Jesus, He redeemed you. He put His Holy Spirit in you. He covered you with Jesus' blood. Herein lies your value: Who you are in Jesus. That is eternal value. That is what God sees in you.
