Increase? Of what?

God said that Abraham was His friend. Is there anything higher than God calling us friends? How did Abraham attain to such high honor, and a daily down to earth relationship with the majesty in heaven?

That old song goes: "Twas a life filled with aimless desperation ... then a hand with a nail print stretched downward, just one touch and a new life began" Oh, how we need a touch of Jesus hand in these uncertain times we are living. A touch of the hand that can make a difference.

Just One Touch!

God promised that Jesus will never put out a smoldering wick or discard a broken reed. You still have in you what is needed to shine, and the reed (used as writing pen) still has life on it to write your story: In Jesus is a story of fulfillment.

Jesus Will Not Put You Out

Hope Deferred is not just frustrating, but paralyzing, deflating, and disabling. We need then to sit down and hear God. No amount of positive thinking can change a deflated heart. Only by refocusing in Jesus and His promises can take us to the land of fulfillment.

Sit Down - Rebuild Hope

There is an aspect of Kingdom Dwelling that many do not fully comprehend, which is the fact that when we believe we are both translated into another realm, and there is Kingdom power within us. We are not of this world anymore, so the only way we can be of influence in our society is by releasing the power within, and not by assimilating or adapting views from the world system that Jesus condemned.

The Power Within

What we think of Jesus is not really the issue. Jesus is who God said Jesus is. We can come up with many explanations, doctrines, interpretations -even generating full schools of thought about Jesus- but the fact remains that no matter what we may think or say, Jesus is still who God said Jesus is. Our salvation, our hope, our final destination, and our journey in between, all depend on who Jesus is. There is no other Name in which we may have wholeness.

God calls us to pray, but more than simply ask from Him, He calls us to give ourselves to prayer. Immersive prayer is the clue. The reason for prayer is not simply about "getting stuff" but about a close relationship with God in which anything can happen "because you prayed!"

God Doesn't Have a P.O. Box

Peter went through much in his walk with Jesus: Rebuked by Jesus, denied the Lord, ear chopper, and what not. He managed to upset Jesus so much! Yet Jesus prepared a breakfast to heal a wound. Jesus destroyed the evidence against Peter! Rebuked and reinstated. He was restored, yet there was pain in the process: Both for Peter and for Jesus.
