You are hiding. You have been hurt. Over the course of many years, circumstances have blocked you, sometimes ever paralyzed you with fear.
People, even people you loved and trusted, have hurt you -whether intentionally or unintentionally- have hurt you, and in your impotence, you have cried yourself to sleep in the night, only to wake up and still feel the pain, and often a renewed expectation of hurts.
You have tried so many things, and what you dream of never seems to materialize.
Oftentimes you feel you are getting so close: It is about to happen! You can envision fulfillment; you can smell it all. And then, just then, something happens that pulls the whole dream down.
The dream is all but dead. The hope is gone. Again. Until maybe you find new strength and motivation to start afresh.
Just then, out of the blue, you hear a voice that says:
Hello conqueror!
Who? Me? Who are you? Are you talking to me? You look over your shoulder and there is no one else there, only you and the voice.
Mighty man! Mighty woman!
Imagine someone shows up into that emotional hiding place of yours, and blurts out “c’mon man, you mighty man, you can do it, get up and go in power and conquer your dreams”.
And you look at yourself; and you take another look at your circumstances; and suddenly you remember all those times you tried, only to come to a dead end, and then you ask again:
Who are you talking to?
That is exactly what God is telling you today: Get up and get going. Go in this power of yours. I am with you! Let’s go conquer your dreams.
Let’s go. You and Me.
